I should start off by saying, take this review with a pinch of salt, as i'm a massive fan of the zombie genre, a genre which you obviously have no trouble with.
The game looked stunnig, even on low quality- each gun looked suitably different, and there was a wide array of different looks for the zombies. The opening menu was brilliantly designed, and despite just being a menu, it really said a lot about the quality of the flash to come.
The style seemed fairly inconstant, ranging from a serious defense game, to a comedy action. However, this juxtaposition has always been present in the zombie genre, and I salute you for pulling it off just right.
The sound was perfect, guns sound convincing and clear, and the ambience really adds a lot to the atmosphere. Theres a bit of imbalance with the dynamics, but i'm nitpicking, here.
Violence is not essential, but when pulled off right can add a lot to the quality of things. Not too much, not too little, another aspect you have truly mastered.
Interactivity is where this game shines, taking the ever-growing defense game, throwing in zombies and adding a truly unique and balanced shooting system. The upgrades came at just the right times, and the pace overall was brilliantly executed.
While not focusing on humour, you've still pulled off some 'laugh out loud' moments- seeing a zombie collapse after being shot in the legs still makes me smile- and once you get the final sniper, it happens often enough to boost the humour up to a 10.
Overall, you have created what a flash game should be- a fun, memorable experience. It deserves all the attention it is receiving, and I have the feeling that this will always remain as part of Newgrounds' past.

First impressions (just from looking at the icons and 'main screen') are that you've created a violent little short, thriving from its shock value.
However, the unexpected humour turns this flash from a small, test animation into something greater.
It looks brilliant, you have a very distinct art style, and it runs flawlessly. The detail is immense, and masterfully drawn.
The style, and execution, is what really pushes this away from 'just another test' and into 'entertainment'. The timing is perfect, and it's hard not to giggle first time around.
The music is perfectly suited, however, it feels empty without a sound for the head blasting off. I doubt it would be the same without the sound that you have, though- so its a good thing that you've got something there.
Violence doesn't really matter, but the pure shock value of the parasite emerging first time around, when you're not exactly expecting something amusing, takes the violence up a notch.
As said, that dance is a fine example of dark humour, preying on the expectations of the viewer, which mkes this flash worth watching.
I realise this a test, however, it manages to stand alone as a proper, comedic/disturbing animation- and really showcases your skill. Hopefully, your other submissions won't disappoint.
If you had just expanded on it, who knows what could've developed?

You should have changed the text box sizes, as it's somewhat of a chore having to scroll down a very narrow text box, just to read something you may already know.
Its interesting to people who dont know, but there are sites out there dedicated to this sort of thing, with MUCH more Easter eggs.

Thank god, when I first saw that bottle one at the beggining I thought it was that screamer circling the net. Yeah, you've put together a nifty collection, although some have been proved fake by places like snopes.

You've created a decent flash, but it's very slow moving considering one of the few jokes it has goes stale after the first piece of dialogue.
The graphics are obscure, you've obviously got artistic skill, but there are too many rough edges- maybe if you were to spend a bit more time improving in this area.
The style is the one defining feature of this flash, it's random, but it has basis- which actually makes is amusing.
The sound relies on the 'words' exchanged between the two, but as previously said, that joke wears thin fast- and gets annoying.
The violence was minimalised, something which I like from a movie, but it didn't look too impressive- and that standard pool of blood has been seen too many a time.
As for the interactivity of it all? It had buttons, unlike some flash entering the portal, so I give you a 1, good sir.
There were few jokes squeezed in, but I'll admit that the mention of the shoe made me laugh out loud. It's just a shame about that running voice joke.
So overall, it was entertaining, but not special- with some minor flaws. Maybe the humour would've gone up if it were longer. Good effort.

Brilliant game, manages to combine intense action with the tactical advance of most defence games- with just a tad o' humour thrown in.
The graphics are pleasing, and the whole look sorta fits the bleak storyline.
The style adds a well needed breath of fresh air to thw whole defence genre.
Sound is the only thing that I have a problem with, some guns sound unrealistic and the ambient background 'music' isn't played loud enough and doesn't have what I think would have been your aim toset the mood for the whole thing.
I'd also like to congratulate you for not smearing blood and gore all over the place just to please the violence junkies- you've balanced it out just right, and it really diverts your attention to the beautiful artwork present in the area.
The interactivity really imerses you, and the dual gun system works very well (although I never used anything but the melee weapons for the second hand), the upgrade sytem allows you to totally customise your little stronghold, and this sytem really keeps you playing till the bitter end.
The humour included can seem a bit forced at times, but there are a few gems in the pre-day breifings. Considering humour isn't the main purpose of the game, I can appreciate the thought that went into what was included.
Overall it's a solid game that provides a good few hours of play, I salute you for making such a high quality game.
(By the way, for anyone wondering, it ends around day 45. My main tactics were to use melee weapons for everyone up until the gunarms(upgrade to chainsaw ASAP), hopefully by then, you'll be on your way towards affording the recharging gun- which you should use for only the gunarms up until the bigger gunarms come- which is when you want to buy the decapitator. Use that for all the gunarms and proceed to cut up all the lower creatures. Then your set for the rest of the game =) )

That had to be one of the worst things I have ever played. The graphics were grainy, it was the most simple fight system, yet still being impossible by giving you 300 different buttons to press. The sound was very grainy, and the upgrade system sucked, im pretty sure you could take all stats down to 0, keep pressing 's' and still win. Dunno about everyone else, but im not impressed.

i got up to the tanks and i couldn't do anything about them with the gravity gun- so i failed because of the game not giving due warning. Otherwise an addictive game that takes too long to get into.

I was a bit weary of it at first, expecting an average game with average art and average story. But this really reeled me in, its tense, keeps you playing and, most importantly, fun. Congratulations, you've made an awesome game. Im voting 5, and its going straight into my favourites.
